EURAS-related News and Events
• The 16th annual EURAS conference on 'Standards for Development' will be hosted 8-10 June 2011 by Vytautas Magnus University, in the beautiful city of Kaunas, Lithuania. The organizer will be Dr. Vladislav V. Fomin.
We particularly solicit papers on the theme 'Standards for Development', i.e., with a focus on the significance of standards and standardization for the economic and societal development of countries 'catching-up'. However, other standards-related papers are very welcome.
The submission deadline is February 28, 2011.

Non-Euras Upcoming Events
•The next ITU-T Kaleidoscope event will be hosted in Pune (India) on the 13-15 December 2010 and will be co-sponsored the by IEEE Communications Society. The overall topic of this event will be: "Beyond the Internet? Innovations for future networks and services". The call for papers is available here. Deadline for paper submission is the 10th of May.
• An International Cooperation for Education about Standardization (ICES) workshop will be held at the 5-6 of July in Geneva, Switzerland. The workshop will feature a varied programme, attractive and interesting for policy makers and standardisers as well as academic standards educators. It is hosted by ISO, IEC and ITU as part of the WSC's Academic Week (5-9 July). • 7th International conference Standardization, Protypes and Quality: A Means of Balkan Countries' Collaboration will take place June 8-9, 2010 at Zlatibor, Serbia.
• The next ITU-T Kaleidoscope conference will take place in India on December 13-15, 2010.
• Setting Standards, a Delft University of Technology and United Knowledge carries out simulation exercise on strategy and cooperation in standardization. More info at www.setting-standards.com (currently only in Dutch)
• The next ICES 2010 workshop will take place from July 5-6, 2010 in Geneva, Switzerland.
